Before use
Before using the electric kettle for the first
time, fill it with cold water up to the MAX
mark, boil the water and pour it away. Repeat
this twice.
Use
Fill the electric kettle with water. The water
level should be between the MIN and MAX
marks (6).
Plug in.
Turn the electric kettle on by pressing the
on/off button (4). The indicator light (8)
comes on.
Once the water boils, the electric kettle
automatically switches off. Allow the kettle to
cool off for approximately 30 seconds before
using it again.
The kettle has inbuilt dry boil protection,
which switches the kettle off if it boils dry.
Allow the kettle to cool off for approximately
15 minutes.
Lift the electric kettle off the base (5) and use
the water as intended. The lid must not be
lifted when pouring water from the electric
kettle.
Caution: The spout on the electric kettle will
give off hot water and hot steam.
4
Pour the rest of the water away and replace
the kettle on the base.

Cleaning and maintenance
Wipe the outside of the electric kettle with a
well-wrung cloth.
Remove the limescale filter at the spout
regularly and clean it.
Lime removal
5
The electric kettle should be descaled
regularly, depending on the hardness of the
local water.
Pour 200 ml of acetic acid and 600 ml of tap
water into the electric kettle and bring to the
boil.
Leave the electric kettle to stand for around
10 minutes once it switches off. Pour the
solution away and fill the electric kettle with
clean water and boil twice more to remove
all traces of the solution.
You can also use a commercial descaling
agent available from supermarkets. Follow
the instructions on the packaging.
