Helmet Usage
Using your Helmet
• To ensure safe operation of your helmet please follow these instructions carefully.
Unpacking the Product
• Carefully remove the helmet from the box and plastic bag.
• Remove all cardboard packing materials from the product.
• Remove all plastic coverings from any areas of the product and discard them properly. Do not
allow children to play with them.
Adjusting the Helmet
• When you place your helmet on your head, it should sit low and flat, not tilted forward or
backward. The brim of the helmet should be about two fingers width (approx. 1/2 to 1 inch) above
the eyebrows. (1)
• Slide each "Y" adjuster individually until straps have a "V" shape underneath each ear. (2)
• To adjust the tightness of the helmet, turn the adjustment dial (located at the rear of the helmet)
until the head band fits snugly around the head. Clockwise tightens, counterclockwise loosens. (3)
• Connect the chin strap buckle (4) snugly underneath the chin and adjust the chinstrap making sure
to allow the mouth to open and close comfortably.

• If the pads (found attached to Velcro strips inside of the helmets) become unusable please call
Joovy customer service for replacements pads.
