·
Make sure all packaging materials and promotional stickers have been removed before using the
appliance for the first time. Make sure children cannot play with the packaging materials.
·
Clean the blades before use. See 'Cleaning and maintenance' section.
USE
1.
Lock both blades together before you secure these in the device.
Slide the button on one blade into the slot in the other knife.
! Be careful: the blades are very sharp. Use the blade handles when
you do this.
2.
Slide the blades into the device. Do this with your hand away from
the cutting edge by holding the blades by the handles and inserting
the end into the device until you hear a click.
3.
Put the plug in the outlet.
4.
Place the food to be cut on a cutting board. Press the button and guide the knife through the food. If
necessary, use a fork to hold the food together.
5.
Release the on/off button to stop cutting. Pull the plug out of the power socket.
! Caution: Never place your hand on a blade to guide it when the device is turned on. This would
interfere with the blades that go back and forth while cutting.
Tips:
·
Always use a cutting board. Never cut your food on ceramics, porcelain, your kitchen counter, etc.
·
Guide the blades from top to bottom. A sawing motion is not necessary.
·
Never try to cut bone, fruit pits or kernels, or other hard foods. This would damage the blades.
·
Do not sharpen the blades.
·
When cutting foods like bread, you can dab a little oil or butter on the blades to reduce resistance.
·
Remove skewers before cutting meat. You can leave on cooking string.
