REPAIR AND CLEANING PROCEDURE
WARNING! BEFORE STARTING ANY KIND OF MAINTENANCE OR REPAIR:

DISCONNECT THE COMPRESSED AIR SUPPLY AND OPEN THE VALVE TO
RELIEVE
GREASE
HIGH PRESSURE, SO EXTREME PRECAUTIONS MUST BE TAKEN.
•
IN THE PRESENCE OF EXPLOSIVE ATMOSPHERES, KEEP THE PUMP AWAY
FROM IT WHILE MAKING SERVICE TASKS.
SEPARATE THE AIR MOTOR FROM THE PUMP (FIG. 4)
1. Securely fix or grab the pump in a stable vise clamp and unscrew nut
(89) and take out the priming washer (88).
2. Unscrew pump tube (77) from pump body (64). Gently pull it away from
the motor. It is possible to take it completely out or just to get enough
clearance to separate rods as described below.
3. If elastic pin (67) is hidden inside pump body (64), pull rod (68) out of
the motor, or feed very low pressure compressed air to the motor in
order to make it run, until pin becomes visible. Then take it out with a
pin punch or similar tool.
4. Unscrew lowers rod (68) from motor rod (46).
WARNING! THE LOWERS GET NOW FREE FROM THE MOTOR,

SO MAKE SURE ALL COMPONENTS ARE PROPERLY
SUPPORTED.
CLEAN THE MUFFLER (FIG. 5)
1. Unscrew bolts (25).
2. Remove exhaust assembly (23).
3. Unscrew the bolts (28) and remove the cap (27).
4. Remove the felt (30).
5. Remove the felt (31) and deflector (26).
6. Remove the bottom felt (30) and replace it with a new one.
7. Put back the deflector (26).
8. Insert the screws (25) and then a new felt (31). If not in this order,
it could be tricky to insert the screws.
9. Put a new felt (30).
10. Put back the cap (27) and its screws (28).
11. Ensuring the screws (25) stay into the muffler (23), put said muffler
on the motor and fix it with said screws.
12. It is also available a whole muffler assembly kit (539005), with
replaces the old one just operating the screws (25).
AIR DISTRIBUTOR (FIG. 6)
1. Unscrew the bolts (28) and remove the cap (22).
2. Ensuring the screws (25) remain into the muffler (23), unscrew
them and take away the muffler. Take away the o-ring (16).
3. Strike gently with a plastic tool through exhaust side of
the motor to remove the spool valve (17).
4. Replace the spool (17) by a new one with its seals factory
installed (kit 539006). This is strongly recommended in
order to ensure the correct assembly of the seals.
