Safety instructions
Body protectors are part of one's personal protective equipment and help to
reduce the effects of strong mechanical forces or impact, as can occur in a fall
from a horse. Such impacts can be from soft or hard surfaces or objects, such
as trees, vehicles, posts and railings. Riders overthrown by a horse and people
who work with horses can also be kicked or squashed by horses, or horses
could stand on them. A fall from a horse releases a lot of energy. Injuries are
minimised, but cannot be completely prevented.
This body protector is only intended for use in equestrian sports and has not
been designed or approved for other uses.
Body protectors do not provide spine protection or prevent injuries in which
the body is twisted, curved, torn or crushed. In addition to the body protector
and riding helmet, please always use common sense.
The foam padding in the body protector reacts sensitively to extreme
temperatures. The safety performance of the foam is limited if it is exposed
to high temperatures. The Body Protector may only be used at temperatures
between 5°C and 29°C.
