Safety vests with zip
If the vest is properly adjusted, the zip can be used to put on and take off the
vest. Make sure that the Velcro over the zipper is always very carefully fastened.
Care and cleaning
The upper material of the body protector is nylon, the inner material is nylon
and polyester, and the filling is made of high-density foam. Only the outer fabric
of your body protector needs washing. This should be done by hand wash. The
Velcro fastener must be closed during washing to prevent the fabric from being
damaged. Wash with warm, not hot, water and use a mild detergent. Do not use
chemical detergent or solvent. Use a sponge or a soft brush to clean the outer
fabric. If the vest is damaged during cleaning, it must be replaced..
Velcro fastenings
Velcro fasteners can become soiled during the use of the vest by horse hair,
straw and mud. In order to maintain the security performance of the vest, the
Velcro fasteners must be cleaned with a hard brush such as e.g. a suede brush
after every use.
Storage & Transport
Clean the Body Protector before each storage. Store the protector hanging
or lying flat in a dry and clean place, away from direct sunlight and extreme
temperature variations. Do not place heavy or sharp objects on your body
protector.
Maintenance, repair
The Body Protector should be checked for wear or damage before each use.
Should you observe soft spots, dents, cracks or thinner sections on the foam,
replace the body protector immediately. In addition, the Body Protector should
be replaced after every severe fall or collision, as well as after three (3) years of
normal use and after one (1) year of intensive use.
The safety label on the protector tells you the date of manufacture.
