11. Keep this instruction manual for future use. Should this appliance be passed on to a third party, then
this instruction manual must be included.
12. No liability will be accepted for damage resulting from improper use or non-compliance with these
instructions.
13. Only use this appliance for its intended use. The appliance is not suitable for commercial use. This
appliance is only suitable for indoor and household use.
14. Before connecting the appliance to the power supply, check that the power supply voltage and
current rating corresponds with the power supply details shown on the appliance rating label.
15. Never use a damaged appliance! Disconnect the appliance from the electrical outlet and contact
your supplier if it is damaged.
16. To avoid damaging to the power cord, do not squeeze, bend or rub it on sharp edges. Keep it away
from hot surfaces and open flames as well.
17. Place the cord in such a way that no unintentional pulling or tripping over it is possible. Keep the
appliance and its cord out of reach of children.
18. If an extension cord is used, its capacity needs to be suitable for the power consumed by the
appliance.
19. Do not operate the appliance with wet hands or while standing on a wet floor. Do not touch the
power plug with wet hands.
20. Do not open the appliance casing under any circumstances. Do not insert any foreign objects into
the inside of the casing.
21. Never use accessories which are not recommended by the manufacturer. They could present a safety
risk to the user and might damage the appliance. Only use original parts and accessories.
22. Do not place heavy objects on top of the appliance. Do not place objects with open flames, e.g.
candles, beside the appliance. Do not place objects filled with water, e.g. vases, near the appliance.
23. Keep the appliance away from any hot surfaces and open flames. Protect the appliance against heat
and cold, dust, direct sunlight, moisture, dripping and splashing water.
24. Do not wrap the power cord around the appliance.
25. Connect the power plug to an easily reachable electrical outlet so that in case of an emergency
the appliance can be unplugged immediately. Pull the power plug out of the electrical outlet to
completely switch off the appliance. Use the power plug as the disconnection device.
26. Disconnect the power plug from the electrical outlet when not in use and before cleaning.
27. Should the appliance fall into water, unplug the power plug first before reaching into
the water.
28. Danger to life! Make sure that no objects like hair clips or hair pins are inserted into the
appliance. These can cause a short-circuit.
29. Do not use the appliance barefoot.
30. Do not leave the appliance unattended, if it is in use or the power plug is connected to an electrical
outlet.
31. Danger of burns! Parts of the appliance become very hot during use. Handle the appliance by its
handle only.
32. During use, do not use hairspray, water vaporisers or other vaporisers close to the appliance. Only
use them when the appliance is switched off and the power plug is disconnected.
33. Do not use the appliance if you are sleepy or if there is a possibility that you will fall asleep.
34. The appliance switches off automatically, if it is overheating. Disconnect the appliance from the
power source and let it cool completely. Before using the appliance again, check if the air intake or
air outlet openings are blocked by lint, hair or other objects.
35. Let the appliance cool completely before removing or attaching parts.
36. Make sure that hot air is not directed at eyes or other heat sensitive parts of the body. During use,
ensure that hair cannot be sucked into the air intake.
37. Do not cover the air intake and air outlet during use. Keep them free from lint and hair.
