• M ake sure the Yepp Junior is always firmly secured by turning
the integrated lock to the "locked" position using the key supplied
(illustration 6+8+9). This is a safety precaution and also prevents
possible theft of the Yepp Junior. Make a note of the key number so
you can obtain a replacement if you lose the original key.
• T o remove the seat, turn the lock to the "unlock" position and release
the seat by simultaneously pressing the red button and turning the
grey knob counterclockwise.
WARNING
CAUTION Never modify the seat yourself.
CAUTION Remove the seat when transporting the bicycle
on a bicycle carrier.
CAUTION Do not use the seat if any part of it is faulty.
CAUTION Never leave your child unattended in the seat when
parking your bicycle. There is a risk of tipping backwards because
of the weight.
CAUTION Please note that cycling with a child in a child seat may
affect your cycling behavior, especially when taking corners and when
driving off.
CAUTION The Yepp Junior is suitable for bicycles with a frame size
of 21 inches or larger.
• A LWAYS fasten the safety belt, even if you are not carrying a child in
the seat.
• A LWAYS fasten the safety strap around the bicycle frame and close
the buckle.
• A LWAYS use the foot straps provided and fold up the supports if you
are not carrying a child;
• G MG recommends that your child wears a properly-fitting helmet.
• T he Yepp Junior is not suitable for use on a moped or scooter or
on bicycles with carbon frames; if in any doubt always consult your
dealer.
• Use a good two-legged stand.
CAUTION Do not carry any children on the Yepp Junior that weigh
more than 35 kg / 77 lbs.
CAUTION Do not transport children under the age of 6 or those
that weigh less than 22 kg / 48.5 lbs, you can use GMG's Yepp Maxi for
carrying these children.
• C heck regularly whether all fittings are tight enough.
CAUTION Do not transport any bags or other luggage in the seat.
• I f you have any doubts regarding the installation of this seat on your
bicycle, we recommend you contact your bicycle dealer.
WARNING
• A LWAYS ensure that the harness is fastened snugly around the child.
• N ever modify the child seat in any way.
• U se the Yepp Junior only on a bicycle that is in good working order,
of a type suitable for carrying the additional load, and of a proper
size and adjustment for the rider. Check the owner's manual that
accompanied the bicycle or contact the bicycle manufacturer or
distributor to obtain this information.
• A LWAYS remove the child seat from the bicycle when the bicycle is
being transported on a motor vehicle. Air turbulence on the child seat
can damage the child seat, which could cause a dangerous situation.
