4. GENERAL SAFETY RULES.
WARNING:These instructions have been developed to facilitate the proper installation, operation
and maintenance of the equipment. Read the entire manual carefully before starting it up to understand
its functionalities and reduce risks during its operation. Read and understand all instructions. Be sure to
pay attention to all warnings and cautions throughout this manual. Failure to follow the instructions
contained in this manual may result in serious personal injury.
4.1. WORK AREA.
• Keep your work area clean and well lit. cluttered and dark areas can cause accidents.
• Keep bystanders, children and visitors away from the machine while you are working on it.
Distractions can cause you to lose control.
4.2. ELECTRICAL SAFETY.
WARNING:
• Avoid body contact with grounded surfaces such as pipes, radiators, and refrigerators. There is an
increased risk of electric shock if your body is grounded.
• Do not expose the machine to rain or wet conditions. Water entering the machine will increase the
risk of electric shock.
• Before connecting the battery charger to a power source make sure that the voltage supplied is the
same as that mentioned on the charger's technical data plate. A power source with a higher voltage
than specified can cause serious injury to the user, as well as damage to the equipment.
• Protect the battery from water and moisture and never expose it to fire.
• Do not use defective or deformed batteries, they can damage the machine.
• Avoid shorting the battery or charger contacts, protect them with insulating tape if necessary.
• The machine must be transported without the battery attached.
• The battery should only be transported if the casing is intact and there are no visible fluid leaks.
4.3. PERSONAL SECURITY.

Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when operating the machine. Do not
use when tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medication. A moment of inattention
while working on the machine can result in serious injury.

Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry. Keep your hair, clothing, and gloves away
from moving parts. Loose clothing, jewelry, or long hair can be caught in moving parts.

Use the appropriate personal protective equipment. Always wear eye protection. Dust mask, non-
skid safety shoes, hard hat, or hearing protection must be used in appropriate conditions.
•
Do not try to handle or open the lithium ion battery; slightly acidic and flammable liquid could be
spilled. If the liquid comes into contact with the eyes, rinse them with plenty of clean water and
seek immediate medical attention.
