Do not use the hoses to move the equipment by dragging it. Keep the hoses away from moving
parts and heated surfaces. Do not place them in contact with products that may affect them and
do not expose them to temperatures greater than 65
The unit has been designed for a long service life and can be used with most of the usual pro-
ducts on the market. Its use with highly aggressive products will quickly increase the need for
maintenance and spare parts. If you need to apply special products, please contact with SAGOLA.
SAGOLA recommends the installation of some sort of SAGOLA air
treatment equipment in the general compressed air network, in order
to optimise the operation of the equipment.
07. Functional description of the equipment
A pressure pot is a stainless steel pressure tank into which the product to be applied is introduced
along with pressurised air. The regulated air transmits the product to the spray gun at a variable
pressure of 0 to 7 bar (0-102 psi). These pressure pots can be used with the majority of current
coating and finishing products and facilitate the spraying of high viscosity products (Smooth paints,
glues, stone pastes, rough).
When working with water-based products we must ensure that the inside of the pressure pot is
galvanised.
The equipment requires frequent and thorough cleaning.
Presure pot with double lower product outlet:
- Outlet for dense products BSP 3/4" Male /Spigot to hose 19mm.
- Outlet for smooth products BSP 3/8" Male/Spigot to hose 8 mm.
07.1. Types of regulation
DOUBLE REGULATION
The pressure pot will have two pressure regulators with
their corresponding pressure gauges. The first one, as in
the previous case, is in charge of regulating the internal
pressure of the pot.
The second is responsible for providing the spray gun
with air that can be sprayed. Both regulators are fully
independent and the desired pressure can be adjusted in
each one.
07.2. Valves
SAFETY VALVE
The safety valve works by evacuating air from the pressure
pot when the pressure exceeds the top limit set for the
safety valve.
ABSORPTION AND DISCHARGE VALVES
This component of the pressure pot manually evacuates
the air pressure from it without needing to adjust the
pressure regulators, absorbs product and works under the
normal operating system.
