5. Before starting the equipment

Before you connect the equipment to the mains
supply make sure that the data on the rating plate
are identical to the mains data.
Warning!
Always pull the power plug before making
adjustments to the equipment.
5.1 Assembly
Warning!
Keep a minimum distance of 200 cm between
the front grille and any objects (e.g. curtains),
walls and other structural elements. There
must be a clearance of 50 cm between the
side of the equipment and any objects or
walls which are not within the radius of radi-
ation. The distance to the ceiling must be at
least 50 cm.
The heat emitted by the heater may turn
wooden ceilings dark in spite of observing the
minimum distance to the ceiling.
Caution! Make sure that there are no electric
cables or other installations (for example water
pipes) near the drill holes. Ensure that the equip-
ment is secured fi rmly and horizontally to the wall.

5.1.1 Mounting on a wall

Mounting in a horizontal and stationary position
on vertical walls at a height of at least 1.8 m
above the fl oor is mandatory. The distance to the
ceiling must be at least 50 cm.
Use only suitable fastening material on a wall
capable of bearing the load. The supplied dowels
and screws are suitable for the following: Con-
crete
To mount on a wall, please use the supplied wall
bracket.
To mount the equipment bracket you require
parts A (four M6x10 mm screws from the back
of the heater), B (one U bracket), C (two M6x10
mm screws), D (two M4x8 mm screws), E (two
connecting parts), F (four M6x10 mm screws), the
supplied Allen key and open-ended spanner, and
a suitable crosstip screwdriver.
You can also use screw C in hole P. Then you
have to use screw D in hole area N (see 6.3 Hea-
ter head tilt).
1. Remove the M6x10 screws from the back of
the heater.

the wall bracket. Screw the F screws so far in
that approx. 2-3 mm of the thread is still left
exposed.
3. Fig. 2/3: Slide the square nuts (R) located
on the back of the heater into the middle of
the housing. Use the A screws to screw the
equipment bracket tightly to the square nuts
(R).
Transfer the position of the four drill holes (Ø
6 mm) from the wall plate (H) onto the wall
with a marker. Remember to allow for the mi-
nimum clearances specifi ed above.
Drill the holes in the wall and insert the do-
wels.

Fig. 5: Insert the F screws into the slots in the
wall plate. Press the heater head downwards
as far as it will go. Tighten the retaining screw
(K).
5.1.2 Mounting on the ceiling
The appliance must be fitted to the ceiling in a
horizontal and stationary position and at least
1.8m above the floor. The distance to the cei-
ling must be at least 50 cm.
Use only suitable fastening material (dowels /
eyebolts) on a ceiling capable of bearing the
load. The supplied dowels and screws are not
suitable for ceiling mounting.
To mount the equipment bracket you require parts
A (four M6x10 mm screws from the back of the
heater), E (two connecting parts) and the sup-
plied Allen key.
1. Remove the M6x10 mm screws from the back
of the heater.
2. Fig. 3/6: Slide the square nuts (R) located on
the back of the heater uniformly away from
the middle of the housing and to the outside.
The distance must be 38 – 78 cm. Having re-
moved the A screws fi rst, use them to screw
the connecting parts E tightly to the square
nuts (R).
3. Fig. 7: Hook the carabiner hooks located on
the chains L into the connecting parts E and
into the ceiling mount already provided by the
user.
