6. Operation
Important. Before using the equipment for the fi rst
time, check that the voltage supply is the same
as the voltage details set out on the rating plate.
Read the safety regulations in section 1.
When the equipment is used for the fi rst time or
after a long period of rest, it may emit an odor for
a short time. This is not a fault.
The equipment must be fully installed.
6.1 Switching on the equipment using the
control panel (Fig. 8)
•
Pressing the main switch at the side (Fig. 1
/ Item 3) switches the mains voltage to the
equipment on and off. If the equipment is
supplied with mains voltage, the LED (11)
shines red.
•
Pressing the button (21) once switches on the
low heat setting (LED 12 comes on – 900 W),
and pressing it again switches on the high
heat setting (LEDs 12 + 13 come on – 1800
W).
Note: All the functions can also be operated with
the remote control after the main switch has been
switched on. The remote control runs on 2 batte-
ries type „AAA". Make sure that the poles are not
reversed when you change the batteries.
6.2 Switching on the equipment using the re-
mote control (Fig. 8/9)
•
Pressing the main switch at the side (Fig. 1
/ Item 3) switches the mains voltage to the
equipment on and off. If the equipment is
supplied with mains voltage, the LED (11)
shines red.
•
Point the remote control towards the IR sen-
sor (22) on the equipment. To switch on the
low heat setting (900 W), press the button
(31) once. To switch off the equipment, press
the button (31) again.
•
If the equipment is switched on (900 W),
pressing the button (33) once switches on
the high heat setting (1800W), and pressing
it again switches on the low heat setting (900
W).
•
To switch on the 5-hour timer, press the but-
ton (32) once (LED 14 comes on) with a heat
setting switched on (900 W or 1800 W). After
the elapse of the 5 hours, the equipment will
switch off automatically. To switch off the timer

ahead of time, press the button (32) again.
The timer function can only be switched on
using the remote control.
6.3 Heater head tilt (Fig. 2)
Caution – danger of burns!
Adjust the heater head only when it has cooled
down.

on. Then tighten all the screws again afterwards.
7. Replacing the power cable
Danger!
If the power cable for this equipment is damaged,
it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its
after-sales service or similarly trained personnel
to avoid danger.
8. Cleaning, maintenance and
ordering of spare parts
Danger!
Always pull out the mains power plug before star-
ting any cleaning work.
8.1 Cleaning
•
Maintenance and repair work may only be
carried out by an authorized electrical servi-
cing contractor or ISC GmbH.
•
Use a damp cloth to clean the casing.
•
Remove dust with a vacuum cleaner.
•
Never use combustible cleaning agents.
•
To remove dust on the safety grille and hea-
ting elements, use a brush with long soft
bristles.
•
In cases of very stubborn dirt the appliance
should be cleaned by a professional.
8.2 Maintenance
There are no parts inside the equipment which
require additional maintenance.
