MOLE SCARER
INTRODUCTION
To get the most out of your new product, please read this manual before use. Please also
save the manual in case you need to refer to it at a later date.
TECHNICAL DATA
Power supply: solar cell / NiMh battery
(1.2 V/600 mAh) with long lifetime
(rechargeable using solar energy)
Frequency: 400 Hz +/- 100 Hz
Congratulations with your mole scarer.
The mole scarer is powered by solar
energy and emits ultrasonic sound into
the ground to repel moles.
The ultrasonic sound is emitted via
vibration and it is incredibly unpleasant
to the hearing of underground rodents,
repelling them.
The mole scarer emits ultrasonic sound
every 30 seconds and has a range of
650 square metres.
The ultrasonic sound is emitted in
all directions. When transmitting
ultrasonic sound in the ground there
must not be any obstacles restricting
its transmission. For the best effect, we
recommend that two units are installed
every 30 metres in the affected areas.
The mole scarer is equipped with a
solar cell and a rechargeable battery,
which is charged for use at night. Once
fully charged the battery will - when
there is not enough light to power the
mole scarer - provide enough power to
ensure 48 hours of operation.
IMPORTANT
The soil must be checked before
the mole scarer is installed. It is not
permitted to install the mole scarer in
the ground if the ground is frozen.
The mole scarer is installed in the
ground. The density of the soil greatly
affects the range of the mole scarer.
This means the range can vary a great
deal depending on the density of the
soil.
Never use a hammer or excessive force
to install the mole scare, otherwise this
will damage the mole scarer.
