In this chapter you will receive important safety information regarding the handling
of the appliance. This appliance complies with the statutory safety regulations.
Incorrect usage can lead to personal injury and property damage.

Risk of potentially fatal electrical current!
Contact with wires or components that are under voltage could
be potentially fatal!
Pay heed to the following safety instructions to avoid risks from electrical current:

The electrical installation may only be carried out by an accredited electrician.

The appropriate standards are to be applied during assembly.

Switch the electrical circuit off during the installation.
For safe handling of the appliance observe the following safety information:

Before use check the appliance for visible external damage. Do not put into
operation an appliance that is damaged. There will be the risk of a fatal
electrical shock.

Repairs should only be carried out by authorised specialist companies or by
the Customer Service Department. Incompetent repairs can result in signifi cant
risks for the user. In addition, warranty claims become void.

To avoid possible risks, arrange for damaged cables or connectors to be
exchanged by an authorised specialist or the Customer Service Department.

Maintain a suffi cient distance from the illuminated area (at least
1 m), otherwise there is a risk of fi re from the generated heat.

This appliance is suitable for mounting on ordinary fl ammable
surfaces.
A broken protective screen must be replaced before
further use. There is a risk of personal injury.
