Press any button (except HOLD) and the clamp "wakes up" in the initial configuration; the function of this "wake up"
button is not in this case taken into account.
NB : The switch also makes it possible to "wake up" the clamp, but it manages the main functions and any action
thus causes the loss of the previously selected function.
The return to the OFF position manually switches off the clamp, but keeps the "buzzer suppression" configuration
if it has been selected, and the programming parameters (PRGM) of the communication output.

4.3 CONFIGURATIONS

To customise the diagnosis two configurations are accessible, by making a prior press and hold on one of the function
buttons when switching on. This prior press and hold makes all the symbols appear on the display. Next the symbol
corresponding to the configuration flashes for approximately 3 seconds. The new configuration is taken into account
after two short beeps the button can then be released.

NB : HOLD + ON button: all the segments and symbols are displayed and remain present as long as HOLD continues
to be pressed.

4.4 DISPLAY BACKLIGHTING ( )

A press on the Hz /
button lights the backlighting. A second press switches it off. Auto off is after one minute.
NB : Once lit, pressing a button or an action on the switch restarts the time it remains lit.

4.5 TESTING THE BATTERIES

The nominal range of the batteries is 6 V to 3.5 V.
The average service life is 40 hours on continuous operation, without backlighting, or 2500 measurements of 1 minute.

4.5.1 Automatic test

No display of the battery symbol: the battery voltage is correct.
Display of the battery symbol
- The battery symbol flashes, remaining service life 1 hour approximately. The accuracy of the clamp is still guaranteed.
- The battery symbol is steady. The accuracy is no longer guaranteed. The battery voltage is then approximately 3.3 V
and if the batteries are not changed, the clamp will switch off automatically.

4.5.2 Manual test

Press and hold the HARM button for display of :
- the battery voltage
- the remaining service life in hours

4.6 HOLD : Hold the display

- A brief press on this button freezes the digital displays and HOLD is displayed.
- A second short press resets the clamp to normal mode.
NB :
The HOLD button is on in all configurations, unless a transmission in SCAN mode is programmed.
In RECORD mode, the HOLD button temporarily stops the recording (See Ch. MAX/MIN : Recording MAX/MIN).
When quitting HOLD mode, the memorised values are not reinitialised and the recording continues.
In HOLD mode, it is possible to select RECORD mode without starting recording. Recording will start when
HOLD mode is exited; this procedure can be useful to start a recording at a particular time.
flashes then becomes steady, auto off is then suppressed.
P
symbol flashes then disappears from the display.
