For maintenance, use only specified spare parts. The manufacturer will not be held responsible for any
accident occurring following a repair made other than by its after sales service or approved repairers.
7.1 REPLACING THE BATTERIES

Never open the clamp before having disconnected it from all external electric sources.
- The clamp must not enclose any conductor
- Set the switch to the OFF position
- Remove the battery compartment from the lower case, held in place by a tool release screw.
- Replace the dead batteries, by 1.5 V batteries (LR6) in accordance with the polarity marked on the case.
- Refit the battery compartment.
7.2 CLEANING
Clean with a cloth or sponge slightly moistened with soapy water. Wipe off in the same way. Never allow running
water on the clamp. Dry with a cloth or pulsed air at 80°C.
7.3 STORAGE
Do not leave the clamp in very damp places, or exposed to running water. If the clamp has not been used for more
than 60 days, remove the batteries and store them separately.
7.4 METROLOGICAL CHECK

It is essential that all measuring instruments are regularly calibrated.
For checking and calibration of your instrument, please contact our accredited laboratories (list on request) or the
Chauvin Arnoux subsidiary or Agent in your country.
7.5 MAINTENANCE
Repairs under or out of guarantee : please return the product to your distributor.
Our guarantee is applicable for twelve months after the date on which the equipment is made available (extract
from our General Conditions of Sale, available on request).
