Pull the button at the end of the sliding rod.
Lift the rod to remove it.
Remove the carriage from the rod and clean it in warm soapy water.
To put the carriage back in place, simply proceed in reverse order. Make sure the carriage has
been re-installed correctly before restarting or storing the appliance.

Removing the blade for cleaning
Make sure the appliance is switched off and unplugged.
To remove the blade, turn the locking device, located in the centre of the blade, anticlockwise.
Wash the blade in warm soapy water. Do not wash in the dishwasher! Let it dry thoroughly.
Clean the housing behind the blade with a dry cloth or a soft brush.
To put the blade back in place,
the locking device clockwise.
Note:
A lubricant paste is applied at the factory in order to ensure correct lubrication for the
first couple of usage. After this, the first time you remove the blade, the user can remove
the extra lubrication paste or leave it. The paste is food safe. No extra lubrication will
be needed afterwards.
Just cautiously cleaning the blade surface after use as indicated in the user manual
should avoid cross-contamination. Deep cleaning by removing the blade shall only be
necessary from time to time.

The European directive 2012/19/EU on Waste Electrical and Electronic
Equipment (WEEE), specifies that old household electrical appliances must
not be disposed of with the normal unsorted municipal waste. Old appliances
must be collected separately, in order to optimize the recovery and recycling
of the materials they contain and reduce the impact on human health and
the environment.
