Measurement with two proximity sensors

1. Apply the sensors (1) to the cylinder.
2. Using the extension cables (see item 5 on page 34), connect the
M8 connectors (2) of the sensors to the meter, as shown.
3. Switch on the instrument by pressing "On".
4. Repeatedly press the function button until the display shows
"Time".
5. Press "Enter" to choose time measurement.
6. Press the flank setting button until a rising and a falling flank
appears on the display (3).
7. Press "Enter". The display shows "Start ?".
8. Press "Enter" again to start measurement.
9. To repeat the time measurement, press "Enter" to set the
instrument to standby for measurement.
With a falling flank, triggering takes place when the voltage goes
from high to low. With a rising flank, triggering takes place when
the voltage goes from low to high.
In the example above, initially the right-hand sensor is high and the
left-hand sensor is low. The meter waits for the cylinder to begin
its plus motion so that the left-hand sensors goes high and timing
