NOTE: To protect the pump from rotating in the wrong
direction, automatic start-up or switching on by hand is
not possible when the direction of rotation monitoring is
triggered.
•If the direction of rotation is incorrect, exchange two phases.
Inserting the rechargeable battery (accessory)
DANGER! Risk of fatal injury!
There is a danger of electric shock by touching live
components when working on the open switchgear.
This work may be carried out only by qualified person-
nel.
To insert the rechargeable battery, switch the unit so
that it is voltage-free and secure it against being
switched on again without authorisation.
CAUTION! Risk of property damage!
When using a normal battery, there is a risk of it leaking
and damaging the switchgear.
Use rechargeable batteries only!
•Insert the rechargeable battery in the provided holder. Make
sure the polarity is correct.
•Fasten the rechargeable battery with the supplied cable tie
(Fig. 2, item 4).
NOTE: The rechargeable battery must be fully charged
at the time of commissioning charged for 24 h in the
switchgear.
8.1 Decommissioning
The switchgear must be decommissioned prior to mainte-
nance or dismantling work.
DANGER! Risk of fatal injury!
There is a danger of electric shock by touching live
components when working on the open switchgear.
This work may be carried out only by qualified person-
nel.
Dismantling and installation
Dismantling and installation by qualified personnel only!
•Switch off automatic mode by pressing the Stop button.

9. MAINTENANCE
DANGER! Risk of fatal injury!
There is a danger of life due to electric shock when
working on electrical equipment.
•The system should be switched off so that it is voltage-
free and secured against unauthorised switch-on for
any maintenance or repair work.
•Work on the electrical part of the system may be car-
ried out only by a qualified electrician.
Before carrying out maintenance or repair work, observe the
"Decommissioning" chapter.
The system operator must make sure all the maintenance,
inspection and installation work is performed by authorised
and qualified personnel who have informed themselves suffi-
ciently by studying the installation and operating instructions in
detail.
•If the switchgear is used in sewage lifting units, maintenance is
to be carried out by qualified personnel in accordance with EN
12056-4. The maintenance intervals must not exceed:
– ¼ year in the case of commercial companies
– ½ year for systems in multi-family houses
– 1 year in the case of systems in single-family houses.
•Subject the electrical part to visual inspection.
•A maintenance report should be compiled.
NOTE: When drafting a maintenance plan, expensive
repairs can be avoided and a fault-free operation of
the system achieved with a minimum of maintenance
effort. The Salmson after-sales service is available for
commissioning and maintenance work.
After completing maintenance and repair work, install and
connect the system as described in the "Installation and elec-
trical connection" chapter. Switch on the system as described
in the "Commissioning" chapter.
10.FAULTS, CAUSES AND REMEDIES
Have faults remedied only by qualified personnel!
Follow the safety instructions in 9 Maintenance.
Remedy
Check the pump and DIP switch settings.
Check the power supply.
After remedying the error, reset the LED dis-
play with the Reset button (Fig. 1, item 4).
Check the power supply, pump and pump
cable.
After remedying the error, reset the LED dis-
play with the Reset button (Fig. 1, item 4).
