TO DISMANTLE, ASSEMBLE AND USE YOUR FRYER
To dismantle
1. Lift lid off.
2. Remove the basket.
To assemble and use
1. If the heating unit is not properly placed, the safety switch cannot be pressed, and the
appliance will not operate.
2. Connect the plug to the mains and a green light will turn on the heating unit. This will remain
on while the appliance is connected to the mains.
3. Select the frying temperature by turning the knob clockwise. A red light will turn on in the
heating unit. Make sure that the cover is not on.
4. After a few minutes of heating, the red light will turn off, signaling that the basket can be
inserted with the food to fry. Be extremely careful: dangerous splashes of oil may fly out.
5. WARNING: If frying a large amount of food, the oil temperature will drop, so you should wait
longer. When frying pre-fried frozen products, we recommend using small quantities.
6. Once the food is cooked, place the basket so that the excess oil can fall back into the
container.
7. After having used it, make sure to place the control knob in the OFF position, turning the red
light off. The green light will remain lit if the appliance is not unplugged.
8. Pour in the oil. The level must be between the 'MAX' and 'MIN' marks.
9. To re-use oil, allow to cool then pour the oil through fine muslin or absorbent paper.
10. Always unplug the fryer after use.
Hints
• Pre –cooked food needs a higher temperature than raw food.
• Cook food thoroughly. The outside may look ready before the inside is cooked.
• Keep your fryer with oil (cooled and strained) inside it, ready for use. The lid keeps the dust out.
• Before frying battered food, drain off excess batter.
• To make chips, cut the potatoes up evenly, so they cook evenly. Rinse and dry before cooking.
• To prolong the life of your fryer, filter the oil after each use and change it after 8-10 uses.
