CARE AND CLEANING
Maintenance
The electric fryer does not require special maintenance, but the following precautions should be
taken:
- Do not leave the appliance running unsupervised; the oil will decrease and heating the resistor
and sensor without oil may render them inoperative for future uses.
- Oil may spontaneously catch fire if the temperature surpasses 300ºC, so you should never leave it
running at maximum temperature.
- When using more than one fryer, make sure that there is enough space between them to
circulate hot air, since they may deform due to the heat.
- Only use the original baskets; forcing the basket into the oil container may create a risk upon
removing it when finished.
- If you do not use the fryer for long periods of time, we recommend applying a thin layer of oil
over the complete surface, even on the resistor and sensor.
- Do not use margarine, butter or lard. They are not suitable for frying since they emit smoke at
low temperatures.
- If overheated, the safety system turns the device off. In order to restart it, unplug the unit and
wait until it cools. Once cooled, re-plug it in and press the "RESTART" button on the back of the
heating unit. To do so you will need a thin and long tool.
Cleaning
- Always unplug the fryer before cleaning.
- Never start cleaning until the oil has cooled down.
