Correct use of the equipment
This equipment is solely intended for trimming gardens, green areas, grass on corners, and grass in hard-to-reach
places. To cut weeds, bushes, and undergrowth, follow the specifications and safety recommendations contained
in this manual. Any other use is not compliant with current legislation. Any type of use that does not comply with
legislation will void the warranty and render the manufacturer not liable. The operator is liable for any damage
caused to third parties and their property. Only use the equipment under the technical conditions supplied and
prescribed by the manufacturer. Arbitrary alterations to the equipment render the manufacturer not liable for any
damage resulting from said alterations.
Safety recommendations
• Please read all these recommendations carefully. Become familiar with how to use the equipment.
• Do not use the equipment if you are tired, ill, or under the effects of alcohol, drugs, or medication.
• Children and young people under 16 years old should not use the equipment.
• This equipment is not meant to be used by people (children) with physical, sensory, or mental impairments or
with lack of experience and/or knowledge, unless supervised by someone responsible for their safety and if they
have been instructed by this person on how to use the equipment.
• Children must be supervised to ensure they do not play with the equipment.
• Please check the equipment before using it. Replace damaged parts. Check for fuel leaks. Replace the cutting
assembly parts that are cracked, chinked, or show any other damage. Make sure the cutting assembly is correctly
assembled and firmly attached. Make sure that the protective cover for the assembly is correctly placed and in
the recommended position. Failure to follow these recommendations may cause injury to the operator or nearby
people and damage the equipment.
• Only use original nylon string until 3.0 mm in diameter. Never use metal-reinforced string, wire, chains, ropes, or
similar materials. These might break and become extremely dangerous projectiles.
• Always be mindful of the danger of injury if you fail to follow the safety recommendations.
• Test the throttle lever. Activate it several times; when you let go, it should automatically go back to its initial
position. Carry out all adjustments or repairs needed before operating the equipment.
• Clear the cutting area before each use. Make sure to move all objects, such as rocks, glass shards, nails, wires,
or ropes that may be projected or get tangled up with the cutting assembly. Clear the cutting area of children,
onlookers, and animals. Keep children, onlookers, and animals at least 15 meters away; there is still a risk of
being hit by projected debris for onlookers. Onlookers must always wear protective goggles. If someone comes
close, switch the engine off immediately.
• Do not store the equipment in closed spaces, if there is still gasoline in the tank, where there might be sources
of heat, sparks, or fire.
