•
The operator is the only responsible for injuries caused to other people or for damages caused to their belongings.
•
Do not use the tool when you are in an unstable position or off balance.
•
It is forbidden to operate the tool while standing on a ladder.
•
Keep the rakes and any other moving part away from your face.
•
Before any maintenance operations are carried-out, switch the tool off . Disconnect the power supply cable from the battery
(13).
•
Before any routine maintenance operation, read this use and maintenance manual carefully. For any other maintenance
operation, which is not described in this manual, take the tool to a EMAK s.p.a. authorised service point.
•
The tool shall be used for the purposes described in par. 'Product description' only. Other uses could cause injuries and/or
damages.
•
When the tool is not used, select the switch (7) OFF mode.
•
Keep the machine in a dry place, away from heat sources and raised off the ground.
•
Do not allow other persons within a 15-metre radius of the machine during operation.
•
Do not use fuel (mixture) for cleaning purposes.
•
Always keep the handles clean and dry, free of oil and fuel.
•
Check the shaker daily when in use to ensure that all devices, safety or otherwise, are in good working order.
•
Do not attempt to carry out any operation or repair other than routine maintenance. Contact an Authorized Service Centre.
•
The shaker must be equipped with the attachments (rods and rakes) recommended by the manufacturer.
•
During operation, stop the engine and check the rakes at regular intervals. Replace the rakes as soon as cracks or breaks
appear.
•
Do not start the engine without the rod connected.
2.2 Use
•
Always wear goggles or a visor, safety shoes and antivibration gloves and a noise-abatement headset (picture F).
•
The working position must be stable and safe.
•
The tool shall be used only for the purposes described in par. 'Product Description' . Other uses could cause injuries and/or damages.
•
When the led light (9) is on, it indicates that the tool is working.
•
Do not open the handgrip (1).
•
Do not leave the tool in the rain. Keep it in a dry place.
•
Do not carry the tool by the power supply cable (13).
•
When the tool is not used for harvesting, select the switch (7) OFF mode in order to avoid useless battery consumption.
•
The fl ashing led light (9) indicates that the tool has stopped due to engine overheating or max power level overcoming. In order to
start the tool again, switch it off and then on by means of the ON/OFF switch (7).
2.3 Maintenance
WARNING!
Before performing any maintenance operations or adjustments of the mechanical parts of the equipment, wear protective
shoes, gloves and goggles
•
Routine maintenance and repairs can be carried out only by an operator with the necessary physical and intellectual qualifi cations.
•
Special maintenance and repairs can be carried out only by a service mechanic.
•
Keep bystanders away when servicing or repairing the machine.
•
Only service mechanics are authorized to inactivate the safety devices provided on the machine when maintenance is to be performed.
It is their responsibility to safeguard the operators and the machine. The safety devices shall be activated as soon as the maintenance
operations have been completed.
•
Before any maintenance operations or mechanical adjustments are carried-out, switch the tool off .
•
All maintenance procedures not dealt with in this manual are to be performed at a EMAK s.p.a. authorized service point.
