2. Switch the XLR input's phantom power on.
Phantom power is required for the HyperX ProCast to function. This can be provided by the audio input device or
a separate in-line power supply.

Switching on the -10dB PAD (passive attenuation device) will increase the microphone's headroom by 10dB by
reducing the signal level of the microphone before it reaches the microphone's electronics. This allows for
recording louder sound sources without overloading the microphone's electronics and causing distortion.
80Hz HIGH PASS FILTER
Switching on the 80Hz high-pass lter will lter out rumble or other unwanted low frequencies from the
microphone's output. The lter will reduce the output level by 3dB at 80Hz and roll-o at a rate of 12dB per octave.
