Operation
Switch on your hob
The controls respond to touch, so there is no need to apply any pressure.
•
Use your fingertip, not the tip.
•
You will hear a beep each time a touch is registered.
•
Make sure that the controls are always clean, dry and that no object (e.g.
utensil or cloth) is covering them. Even a thin layer of water can hinder the
operation of the controls..
Tips to avoid property damage
ATTENTION! Containers with rough bases may scratch the hob.
•
Check that all pans are in perfect condition. Cooking under vacuum can damage the pans and even
the hob. Never place empty pans on a hot cooking zone or allow them to heat up empty.
•
Improperly positioned pans on the hob can cause the hob to overheat..
•
Do not place hot pots and pans on the controls or the hob frame.
•
Dropping rigid or sharp objects on the hob can cause damage.
•
Non-heat-resistant materials may melt if they are placed on the hob when it is in operation or has
just been used.
•
Never use aluminium foil, plastic containers or baking paper.
•
Use pans with a diameter as large as the graphic of the selected zone. If you use a pan that is slightly
wider, the energy will be used to the maximum. If you use a pan smaller than the selected zone, the
efficiency may be lower than expected. Always centre the pan on the cooking zone.
Always lift the pans from the hob, do not slide them, as this could scratch the glass.
Choose utensils suitable for your induction hob (Only for induction models)
Only use cookware with a base suitable for induction cooking. Look for the induction symbol on the
packaging or on the bottom of the cookware.
•
You can check whether your cookware is suitable by carrying out a magnet test.
•
Move a magnet towards the base of the pan. If it is attracted, the pan is suitable
for induction.
•
If you do not have a magnet:
1. Put some water in the pan you want to test.
2. If this symbol
Cookware made of the following materials is not suitable: pure stainless steel, aluminium or copper
without magnetic base, glass, wood, porcelain, ceramic and china.
does not flash on the display and the water becomes hot, the cooker is suitable.
