ASSEMBLY AND OPERATION
- WARNING:
Use only the diagnostic charger sup-
plied with the tool to charge the 14.4V lithium-ion bat-
battery supplied with the tool. Charging any other batte-
ry with this charger may damage the charger, possibly
causing serious injury.
BATTERY CHARGING
1. Connect the battery to the charger. Make sure you do it correctly (2).
Plug the charger (1) into a 230V/50Hz socket. Make sure it is in a dry place.
DO NOT charge the batteries when the working area or battery
IMPORTANT:
temperature is below 0 °C or above 45 °C.

FUNCTIONS OF THE CHARGER LEDS
Charger connected
The LED will remain GREEN when the charger is connected to a
power source.
Battery partially charged
The LED will remain RED during charging.
Battery fully charged
The LED will remain GREEN when the battery is fully charged. Under
normal circumstances the battery will charge in 100 minutes.
INSTALLATION OF THE BATTERY IN THE TOOL
1. Remove the discharged battery from the tool by pressing the battery
release button on the top of the battery.
2. Slide the fully charged battery into the corresponding cavity in the
handle of the tool where the discharged battery was removed.
Under no circumstances immerse the battery in water.
IMPORTANT:
Sudden cooling may cause the hot battery to explode.
INSTALLATION OF THE BLADE
1. To install the blade in the saw, turn the blade locking handle clockwise
(1) as far as it will go.
2. Insert the appropriate blade (2) into the blade slot (3) as far as it will
go. 3. Release the blade locking sleeve.
Pull the blade to make sure it is properly positioned.
NOTE:
Always remove the battery before installing or removing a

REMOVE THE BLADE

To remove the blade, turn the blade locking handle clockwise as far as it

will go and remove the blade. Wear protective gloves when performing

this operation.

LOCK BUTTON
The lock button (1) is a safety device designed to reduce the possibility
of a user accidentally starting the saw. This button must be pressed
before the trigger switch (2) can be pressed. The lock button can be
pressed from either the left or right side of the tool.
VARIABLE SPEED BUTTON
The variable speed trigger switch activates and deactivates the tool
and controls the speed of the saw. To turn the saw on, press the
locking button with your thumb and while holding it down, gently
depress the trigger switch. The saw will start at its slowest speed.
Once the saw is running release the lock button. The saw will continue
to run until the trigger switch is released. To increase the speed of the
saw, pull the trigger harder. To turn the saw off, release the trigger
switch.

MAINTENANCE
GENERAL
DO NOT use solvents, petrol or acetone when cleaning the tool.
Plastics are susceptible to damage from the use of such liquids. Use a
clean cloth to wipe off dirt, dust, oil, grease, etc. DO NOT abuse power
tools. Abusive practices can damage the tool and the workpiece.
WARNING:
DO NOT attempt to modify the tool or create attachments.
Any such alteration or modification is misuse and could result in a
hazardous condition that could cause serious injury. Such modifications
will void the warranty.
LUBRICATION
All bearings of this tool are lubricated with a sufficient amount of high
quality lubricant so no additional lubrication is required.
DISASSEMBLY AND PREPARATION
OF THE BATTERY FOR RECYCLING
To conserve our natural resources, recycle or dispose of batteries
properly. The batteries that come with this tool may contain chemicals
and metals that are harmful to the environment. Never dispose of
rechargeable batteries in your household waste or in landfills. Check
with your local waste authority for information on available recycling
and disposal options.
LI-ION BATTERY MAINTENANCE
It is recommended that you charge your LI-ION battery after each use so
that it is fully charged for when it is needed. Store the battery in a dry
place and keep it away from children.
GUARANTEE
This tool is guaranteed for one year against manufacturing defects under
normal use.
