This innovative internal aquarium filter system offers optimal comfort, maximum safety and the best possible filter
performance. The matched filter design enables particularly efficient and biological degradation of pollutants to
ensure particularly clean water. You will find everything you need to know about initial installation, assembly, care
and maintenance of the filter in these instructions. These instructions are part of the product. They contain
important information about safety, set-up and operation! Keep these instructions for future reference!
Safety regulations: These devices may cause damage to or interference with electronic equipment
due to magnetic fields. This also applies to pacemakers. The required safety distances can be found in
the instructions for the relevant medical devices. During assembly there is a risk of crushing fingers
due to magnetic forces. Caution: Basic safety precautions should be taken to prevent injuries and
electric shock, including the following:
a) Read and observe all safety notes!
b) When using a power strip, it must be placed above the filter mains connection.
c) Caution: Since aquarium filters come into contact with water, special care should be taken to prevent
electric shock. If one of the following situations occurs, do not repair the device yourself, but have it repaired
by an authorized specialist or dispose of it:
1. The aquarium and appliance should be positioned next to a wall socket to prevent
water from splashing onto the socket or plug. For your safety it's advisable to make a
drip loop with the mains cord to prevent water running along the cord from entering the

2. Never unplug if the socket or plug is wet! First switch off the circuit to which the device
is connected (circuit breaker), then unplug. Check the socket and plug for water.
d) This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with
reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given
supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.

e) Always disconnect the device from the power supply when not in use, before attaching or removing parts, or
before cleaning it. Never pull the plug out of the socket by pulling on the cable, always unplug by the plug.
f) The appliance must not be used for any purpose other than that for which it was intended. Using accessories
not recommended by the manufacturer can result in dangerous situations.
g) Do not operate or store the unit in places where there is a risk of frost.
h) The mains cable of the device is not replaceable. If the cable is damaged discontinue use of the device.

i) Verify the device has been installed safely before using it for the first time.
j) The unit must not run dry.
k) Equipment may only be used indoors. For aquaristic use only.
l) Before working on the appliance or in the aquarium, disconnect all electrical appliances in the aquarium
from the mains. This device must not be used to pump liquids warmer than 35° C.
m) To avoid electric shock, do not immerse the power plug or cord in water or other liquids.
n) Keep these instructions in a safe, accessible location!
Disposal: This device must not be disposed of with normal household waste. Observe the
local disposal regulations for electrical appliances.
