Some unknown characters are displayed on the
display.
e If the file information uses Japanese, Chinese or
other double-byte characters, playback is possible
but the name will not be shown correctly.
Bluetooth function
Pairing fails.
e Refer to the Bluetooth device's operation manual.
e Put this unit into standby and turn the other
Bluetooth device off and on once. Then, try pairing
again.
e Turn off all Bluetooth devices other than the one
you are trying to pair the unit with.
e After deleting the "LP-P1000" data from the other
Bluetooth device, try pairing again.
Cannot connect.
e Confirm that the other Bluetooth device is on and
its Bluetooth function is enabled.
e Are the unit and the other Bluetooth device too far
apart? Is there a wall or other obstruction between
them?
As much as possible, use them close together in an
environment without obstructions.
e Put the unit into standby and then on again.
e Unpair the "LP-P1000" from the Bluetooth device
and follow the instructions in "Pairing with another
Bluetooth device" on page 44.
The sound skips or there is noise.
e Is there a wireless LAN, other Bluetooth device,
microwave oven or similar electronic equipment
nearby? Keep such devices as far away as possible.
e Reduce the distance between the other Bluetooth
device and this unit during use.
e Try moving the other Bluetooth device and this
unit.

Troubleshooting (2)
Radio
A station cannot be received. The reception is
poor.
e Tune in the station properly.
e If FM broadcast reception is poor, try relocating the
FM antenna.
e If AM broadcast reception is poor, try changing the
orientation of the AM antenna.
e Confirm that the FM antenna cable has been con-
nected correctly.
e If a TV is near the unit, turn the TV off.
FM stereo broadcasts become mono.
e Press the FM MODE button to select stereo.
e The signal from the station might be poor. Adjust
the position of the FM antenna and check whether
the FM antenna cable has been connected
correctly.
Records
It will not play a record. Playback is noisy.
e Confirm that the stylus cover (made of white plas-
tic) has been removed.
e Clean the stylus (page 17).
e If the stylus is worn-out, replace it.
The pitch is wrong.
e Set the rotation speed (RPM) to match the record
(page 46).
The sound skips.
e Vibrations will cause skipping. Place this unit in a
stable location.
e If the record is dirty, wipe it clean.
e Do not use scratched records.
e Use a coin or other tool to turn the transport lock-
ing screw clockwise until it stops.
Since this unit uses a microcontroller, external
noise and other interference can cause the unit
to malfunction. If this should occur, unplug the
power cord from the outlet and wait for a min-
ute before plugging the power cord in again and
retrying the operation.
