Meter maintenance
Do not disassemble the meter!
The ST400 series instruments do not require any maintenance other than replacement of
depleted batteries. To clean, use a damp cloth.
Attention: Do not use solvents or harsh chemicals to clean the instrument.
The housing material is susceptible to damage by some organic solvents, such as toluene, xylene
and methyl ethyl ketone (MEK). Any spillage should be immediately wiped off.
CAUTION: Battery is to be replaced only by an authorized Ohaus service dealer.
Risk of explosion can occur if the rechargeable battery is replaced with the wrong
type or if it is not properly connected. Dispose of the lithium-ion battery according
to local laws and regulations.
