IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS. SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS:
When using electric products, basic precaution should always be followed, including the following:
• Read warnings on Charger cord label before operating Charger for the first time. Read all instructions in the User
WARNING!
• Never use Charger with any AC adapter.
• Never use Charger with an extension cord.
• Shock hazard – make sure the plug is fully inserted into the wall receptacle so that there are no exposed blade
• Children should be supervised when in the vicinity of Charger and while Charger is plugged in.
• DO NOT put fingers into the electric charge coupler.
• DO NOT use Charger if the flexible power cord, charge coupler, or Charger are broken, cracked, open, or show any
• ALWAYS position Charger and cable so that they will not be driven over, stepped on, tripped over, or otherwise
• To minimize risk of personal injury, stow Charger after use.
• Maximum operating temperature 50°C (122°F).
• Not for use in a commercial garage.
• For use with a grounded circuit. (Charger will not operate without a proper ground)
• DO NOT drop Charger or Coupler.
• DO NOT insert AC plug into a faulty, corroded or wet wall receptacle.
Make sure the car is in PARK and turned OFF.
Insert Charger Module into the correctly rated socket.
To use a 240V outlet, Snap clip to module, lining up corresponding symbols.
Attach adaptor to module. Slide clip up into "lock" position.
Plug Module into NEMA 6-20 Receptacle.
Red TROUBLE light will flash briefly then turn off; Blue STATUS light will stay solid indicating that
Charger is receiving AC power and is ready to charge.
Insert CHARGE COUPLER into car charge port. Charging will begin automatically. The blue
STATUS light will flash continuously to indicate that the vehicle is charging.
MANUAL STOP: You can manually stop charging by disconnecting the CHARGE COUPLER from
the car receptacle. Charger's Blue STATUS light will stop flashing, then a solid Blue STATUS light
will remain on.
Charging will complete automatically. Blue STATUS light will remain solid whether CHARGE
COUPLER stays connected to, or is disconnected from, the car.
When finished charging, disconnect the CHARGE COUPLER from the vehicle and then the
TurboCord charger from the wall receptacle.
Stow Charger on the cable hanger (shown) or in stowage bag after each use.
