ning 111 Compound).
4. Niveauelektrode in Flanschdeckel ein-
schrauben und mit 36er Ring- oder Maul-
schlüssel festziehen. Das Anzugsmoment
beträgt im kalten Zustand 160 Nm.
Hinweise
Die Dichtflächen am Flanschdeckel müssen
gemäß Fig. 9 technisch einwandfrei bear-
beitet sein!
Elektrodengehäuse nicht in die Wärmeiso-
lierung des Kessels einbeziehen.
Die
Prüfung
des
Kesselstutzens
Anschlußflansch muß im Rahmen der Kes-
selvorprüfung durchgeführt werden!

Important Safety Note
The level electrodes types NRG 16-12, NRG
17-12 and NRG 19-12 are suited as high-
water level limiters only in combination with
GESTRA level switch NRS 1-8.
The electrode must only be installed by
qualified staff.
Qualified staff are persons who - through
adequate training in electrical engineering,
the use and application of safety equipment
in accordance with regulations concerning
electrical safety systems, and first aid &
accident prevention - have achieved a
recognised level of competence appropriate
to the installation and commissioning of this
critical safety device.
Danger
When loosening the flanged connection of
the electrode live steam or hot water might
escape.
This presents the danger of severe injury.
It is therefore essential not to dismantle the
electrode unless the boiler pressure is
verified to be zero.
Purpose
Self-monitoring high-water level alarm with
periodic self-checking with the two-channel
level switch type NRS 1-8 acc. to TRD 604
(steam
boiler
plants
operating
constant supervision). The combination is
used to detect water rising to the highest
permissible level in steam and pressurized
hot-water plants.

Notice
Do not screw electrode directly into a small
screwed socket. This may have a detrimental
effect on the safety function of the high-
water level alarm (see Fig. 8).
Avoid
subjecting
without
mechanical shocks or bending as this might
cause damage to the electrode seal.

is 160 Nm when cold.
The seating surfaces of the flange provi-
ded on the vessel must be accurately
machined. Fig. 9.
Do not bend electrode tip when mounting.
Do not lag electrode body above the hexa-
gonal section.
For the approval of the boiler standpipe
the relevant regulations must be considered.
