Malfunctions
Before you attempt to remedy any malfunction of your pump, pull the plug to prevent injury
!
or death due to electrocution!
What is wrong? What is the possible reason?
Motor does not run. Impeller is blocked.
Thermal switch has switched off.
No power.
Garden pump runs Water level too low.
but is not pumping out
liquid.
Air is trapped in the pump chamber. Fill the pump chamber with water.
Suction hose is blocked.
Pressure line is blocked.
Pressure hose is bent.
Garden pump is only Pressure hose is bent.
pumping out liquid
very slowly or weakly.
Hose diametre is too small.
Suction hose is blocked.
Pumping height is too great.
Suction height is too great.
If you are unable to remedy a malfunction, please call the AL-KO service centre nearest you.
How to remedy the malfunction:
Remove blockage in inlet area. Clean
the impeller with a jet of water.
Wait until the thermal switch has
automatically switched the pump on
again. Check the temperature of the
liquid. Have the pump checked.
Check the fuses. Have a qualified
electrician check the power supply.
Lower the hose further underwater.
Clear blockage in suction hose.
Clear blockage in pressure line.
Straighten out pressure hose.
Straighten out pressure hose.
Attach a hose with a larger diametre.
Clear blockage in suction hose.
Lower pumping height (see technical
data).
Lower suction height (see technical
data).
