FOOD DEHYDRATOR
is intended for household use only.
- NEVER leave the appliance unattended during operation.
- NEVER operate the appliance with a damaged cord or plug or if the appliance malfunctions or
has been damaged in any manner. Do not try to repair the food dehydrator by yourself but return
the appliance to the nearest authorized service facility for examination, repair or adjustment.
- NEVER operate the appliance with wet hands.
- To avoid the risk of electric shock, DO NOT immerse the power cord, plug or the main unit in
water or other liquid. Do not turn on the appliance if the surface of the food dehydrator is wet.
- Disconnect the device by unplugging it from the wall outlet. DO NOT pull the cord. Keep cord
away from heated surfaces. Do not let power cord hang over the edge of the table or the counter.
- DO NOT place the appliance near heated sources (hot gas or electric burner).
- To avoid the risk of electric shock or fire, DO NOT cover the appliance with cloths and other
objects during operation.
- Take care when preparing food for infants and infirm, making sure to sterilize the supplied
accessories before using.
- DO NOT move or lift the appliance during use and if it is plugged in.
- Avoid using the unit with accessories other than those supplied.
- Before first use, make sure to properly remove the product from its packaging. Wash accessories
in warm soapy water, rinse thoroughly and dry them before assembling the product.
- DO NOT use scouring pads for cleaning.
BEFORE THE FIRST USE
1. Make sure that food dehydrator is in good condition and there are no missing parts. If
there are some missing accessories, contact the customer service. Remove all packing
materials.
2. Before plugging the appliance, make sure that your mains electricity is compliant with
the voltage range stated on the rating label.
3. Place the food dehydrator on a flat, heat-resistant and non-flammable surface.
4. Wash the lid and the other accessories in warm soapy water. Use a damp cloth to wipe
down the base of the unit. Never immerse the base unit in water or any other liquid.
5. Wash the drying racks in warm soapy water. Then dry thoroughly with a cloth. Please
note the racks are dishwasher safe.
6. During first use, plug in the appliance, switch on and set the temperature control to the
highest level for 30 minutes. Then wipe down the appliance with a damp cloth and dry it
thoroughly. (Note: A slight amount of smoke and a burning smell may be emitted during
the first few uses. Do not be alarmed, this is normal.)
HOW TO USE THE FOOD DEHYDRATOR
1. Cut the food items into small, equal and uniform slices (around 0.5 cm).
2. Peel fruits and vegetables.
3. Place the cut food items freely into the drying racks. Leave enough space between the slices to
allow free airflow.
4. Insert each tray inside the food dehydrator. Place the upper lid back on and make sure that it
always remains in position during the dehydration process.
5. Switch the appliance on and adjust the temperature control. The red light will switch on.
6. Trays should be rotated every 3-4 hours for more even drying.
7. When dehydration is completed, switch the power off and unplug the appliance.
7. Allow food to cool completely down before storing it in airtight containers. If necessary, place
containers in the freezer.
Note: During the drying process, always use all 5 drying racks even if empty. This will aid the
