SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
Failure to follow the safety precautions may result in the risk of serious injury.
- Never exceed the maximum supported weight of 150 kg.
- Only use the appliance in accordance with the above instructions. Please ensure that all users are familiar with these
instructions and with the operation of the appliance before using the product.
- Do not use the device if any part of it is damaged.
- Do not use the RS3 unit to transfer users outdoors or in vehicles.
- Ensure that the product is in good working order.
- Visually inspect the product
- Do not tilt or pry with the Transfer Disc during use. The footrest assembly must remain in contact with the ground at all times.
- Only use the product on a flat surface.
- The carer should always apply counter pressure when the user is standing, sitting or transferring.
- The healthcare professional should always support and counterbalance the device when the patient is on it. If the patient is
using the device to move to or from a wheelchair, the wheelchair brakes should always be applied and the leg rests removed
or swung outwards.
- Ensure that the healthcare professional and the patient wear appropriate footwear.
- Do not leave a patient unattended on the equipment.
- If any parts are damaged, broken, worn or missing, contact your dealer.
- Only use the machine on flat surfaces.
- Ensure that the brakes on both rear castors are in the locked position before transferring a patient/user onto or off the RS3
unit.
- DO NOT lift the handle section higher than the top hole for the spring pin lock.
- Do not attempt to lift the handle while the unit is in use with a patient.
MOUNTING
HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT
The height of the RS3 Transfer device should be adjusted to suit each user. The user's kneecaps must be in the centre of the
kneepad(s).
