03. Before first use
Putting Oil in the Engine
For transport reasons, the unit is delivered
without engine oil. Therefore, before the first
use, put oil in the motor. See Engine Manual.
Adjustments before any use
Before
performing
equipment turn off the engine, remove the
ignition key (if any};
wait until all moving parts have come to a
complete stop; the engine must be cold,
disconnect the spark plug terminal from the
engine, to avoid unintentional engine starting.
Fitting the ejector basket
Lift the ejector cover and fit the grass
collection bag.
Check gasoline tank and oil level
Fill up with "normal unleaded petrol". Fill the
fuel tank to a maximum of 2 cm below the

Close the fuel tank tightly. Check the oil level
and top up if necessary (see engine manual).
Starting the engine
1) Follow the information in the engine
manual.
2) Some models have no throttle lever and
the revs are set automatically. The engine
always runs at the optimum revs.

Release the drawbar.

Accident
People, children or animals should never be
in the vicinity of the machine during cutting
operation. Danger of injury due to stones or
other thrown objects.
Fall
Always drive the machine at a walking pace.
Be particularly careful when mowing grass in
reverse or when pulling the unit toward you.
When working on slopes, the unit may tip over
and cause injury. Cut the grass across the

slope and never down and up. Do not mow on
slopes with a gradient of more than 20%.
Be
particularly
direction of travel and always try to maintain
a firm footing.
There is a danger of injury when mowing near
edges, ditches or steep slopes. Keep a safe
distance.
Injury
The safety distance given by the guide rail to
the cutting unit must always be observed.
Never bring your hands or feet close to
rotating parts.
