Removing the integration cover
If your BD FACSDuet™ instrument is physically integrated with a BD FACSLyric™
instrument, you might occasionally need to remove the integration cover. For
example, you might need to place a carrier directly onto the Loader as part of a
workaround if you are having issues with the BD FACSLink™ Laboratory Information
System (LIS) Interface software.
Before you begin
This task may only be performed by a special trained user or service personnel.
Ensure that your instrument is not processing a worklist. Shut the BD FACSDuet™
system down, and then disconnect AC power.
Procedure
To remove the integration cover:
1. Open the overhead door and the specimen door.
2. Inside the instrument on the left side, use a 4 mm Allen key to remove the screw
shown below.
