FIRST USE AND OPERATION (see diagram page 2)
The device can be operated using 4 x 1.5V AA batteries (not included in delivery), or with the USB
cable supplied.
Operation with batteries:
Open the cover of the battery compartment and insert the batteries. Make sure the batteries are
the right way round, i.e. that the polarity is correct. The direction is shown inside the battery
compartment. Then reinsert the battery compartment and turn until fully closed (diagram 1 a, b, c).
Operation with USB cable:
IMPORTANT! If using the USB-A cable, the battery compartment must be rotated back halfway so
that the connection between the batteries and the device is interrupted.
Insert the USB-A cable into the connection socket (F) of the sensor bin. Use a suitable adapter with
USB-A output to supply the bin with power.
Functions
The sensor waste bin can be operated by sensor (movement), by touching the sensor panel, or
manually.
1. Sensor operation
The lid opens when the sensor detects movement (sensor range approx. 20cm). The lid closes
when the sensor does not detect movement for approx. 3 seconds (if there is movement, the
lid remains open). (Diagram 2 a, b, c)
2. Touch operation
The lid can be opened by touching the sensor panel. The lid will not close until the sensor
panel is touched again. (Diagram 3 a, b, c)
3. Manual operation
Remove the batteries and/or USB cable. The lid can now only be opened by lifting upwards
and closed again by pressing back down.
