Work to be carried out, general:
1. Disconnect the earth cable from the battery.
2. Route and fit the single-wire wiring harness.
3. Check functioning.
Disconnect the earth cable from the battery
To avoid short-circuits during fitting and for safety reasons, the earth cable must, without exception,
be disconnected from the battery before starting work (risk of fire)!!
Disconnection of the battery can lead to a loss of stored data!
Route and fit the single-wire wiring harness.
In vehicles fitted with an airbag in the side flanks of the seat backrest it is imperative to pay
attention to the safety precautions when removing and fitting airbag components.
Remove the trim under the central console and in the left footwell.
Remove the battery compartment cover in front of the left seat.
Insert the 12P fuse carrier at the designated position in the relay carrier in the driver's seat console
(Fig. 1).
Route the wiring harness under the floor covering, along the vehicle's wiring harnesses / channels to
the battery box in the drivers footwell (Fig. 1).
Engage the wire end in the free chamber of the supplied 02P fuse carrier, attach the 60A flat pin fuse
and fix the fuse carrier in place in the battery box.
Connect the wire end with the eyelet on the positive terminal of the battery (Fig. 1).
Refit all trim parts and any parts removed.
Reconnect the earth wire to the battery.
3. Function test
Check the function using a suitable test device.
ATTENTION!
a) Ensure that the sealing elements are correctly seated!
b) Route the wiring harness so that no chafing can occur.
