First Use of Mandolin Slicer:
WARNING
: Extremely sharp blades! Keep fingers clear of the blades at all times. Improper
handling of the Mandolin Slicer may result in injury.
1.
Remove the packaging material and all plastic wrapping.
2.
Check components and check that all accessories have been received and without
damage. If any parts are broken or damaged, do not use.
3.
Clean all parts of the Mandolin Slicer before first use as described in the 'Cleaning'
section.
4.
Before use:
a.
Peel fruit or vegetable with thick skin (e.g., onion)
b.
Remove stems and trim ends.
Slicer and Julienne Slicer:
Note: Always use Hand Guard (A) to prevent injury. When not in use turn Dial to the 'LOCK'
position.
1.
Place the Container on a flat surface.
2.
Place the Mandolin Top on top of the Container.
3.
Insert Julienne Slicer Blade (Parts: D/G) into Mandolin Top (B). See
4.
Lift the Mandolin Top and turn it over to view the back of the Mandolin Top.
5.
On the back side of the Mandolin Top, turn the Dial (I), to desired thickness of slices
(2-4 mm). Dial options 2, 3, and 4, can only be used for the Slicer and Julienne
Slicer. See Fig. 2
6.
Securely place Mandolin Top (B) over bowl.
7.
Secure food with hand guard (A), hold the hand guard and slide back and forth to
slice food. See Fig. 3
