Press the HIGH or LOW button to begin operation. The corresponding indicator
light will illuminate and the blending TIME, will begin to count up to 99 seconds.
There will be a 5 second pause. If STOP is not pressed, the Bar Blender will reset
to 00 and continue processing.
IMPORTANT: Always hold jar with one hand when starting and while blending.
CAUTION: Pay close attention while processing. Never operate the Bar
Blender when the jar is empty, except when SANITIZING. (See SANITIZE & DRY
CONTAINER section.)

TO CRUSH ICE: Blend continuously on HIGH. Check contents. If necessary,
add liquid and continue to process until all cubes are reduced to the desired
consistency.
IMPORTANT: Always hold jar with one hand when starting and while crushing ice.
10. PULSE: Press PULSE for short bursts of power. PULSE is activated as long as
the button is pressed. PULSE action will cease as the button is released. Time
the PULSES so that blades come to a complete stop before pressing the PULSE
button again.
11. Press the STOP button AT ANY TIME to cease operation.
12. When blending is complete, press the ON/OFF (I/O) switch to OFF (O).
13. Allow the motor to come to a complete STOP before removing jar from the
motor base.
14. CAUTION: Never place the jar on the motor base or remove jar from the motor
base while the Bar Blender is operating.
15. Unplug the Bar Blender when not in use and before cleaning.
16. Do not leave the power switch on overnight.
IMPORTANT – HOT BLENDING INSTRUCTIONS
Note: To minimize the possibility of being scalded when blending hot materials, the
following precautions and procedures must be observed.
Note: Not recommended to blend hot material
1.
Hot materials are said to be 100°F or hotter
2.
Limit the amount of materials processed to 16oz
3.
Completely remove the Lid Cap (center portion) of the two-piece jar lid before
operation. This will allow venting of the rapidly heated and expanded air inside
the jar when blending.
4.
Always start blending on LOW and then progress to LOW or HIGH speed.
5.
Never stand directly over this appliance when it is being started or while
blending.
USER MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS
This appliance requires little maintenance. It contains no user-serviceable parts. Any
servicing requiring disassembly other than cleaning must be performed by a qualified
appliance repair technician.

SAFETY AND TROUBLESHOOTING
Thermal Protection: Safety Shut-Off
1.
Under conditions of continuous and/or heavy use, your Chef Built Commercial
Bar Blender is equipped with a manual reset thermal protector or safety shut-off
feature that turns the Bar Blender OFF to prevent the motor from overheating.
2.
In the event of a Safety Shut-Off, press the ON/OFF (I/O) switch to OFF (O) and
unplug from the electric outlet.
3.
Lift the jar from the motor base, remove ingredients to lessen the load, and allow
the motor to cool down.
4.
Place the jar on the motor base.
5.
Plug the power cord back into the outlet, press the ON/OFF (I/O) switch to
ON (I) and continue blending.
CARE & CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS
1.
Before cleaning, always check to make sure the ON/OFF (I/O) switch on the side
of the motor base is in the OFF (O) position. Unplug Power Blender from the
electric outlet. Empty the food content from the jar as much as possible.
2.
Wash, rinse, sanitize and dry the jar after every use, following the detailed
procedures described below under wash & rinse jar and sanitize & air dry jar.
3.
Wash, rinse, sanitize and dry the jar after any 1-hour period of non-use.
4.
Clean and sanitize the motor base after every use.
WARNING: DO NOT IMMERSE MOTOR BASE IN WASHING SOLUTION,
RINSE WATER OR SANITIZING SOLUTION.
5.
Washing solutions based on non-sudsing detergents and chlorine-based
sanitizing solutions having a minimum chlorine concentration of 100 PPM are
recommended.
The following wash and rinse solutions, or their equivalents, may be used.
•
Wash: Diversey
Wyandotte: Diversol
®
gallon, Hot: 115˚F (46˚C)
•
Rinse: Plain Water, Warm: 95˚F (35˚C)
6.
Repetitive batch-processing applications: Frequent cleaning of the jar will
prolong the life of the blade assembly.
IMPORTANT: The jar should be cleaned after every 30 minutes of blending.
7.
Do not use jar to store processed foods or beverages.
8.
Note: Always follow the Jar Assembly instructions after cleaning the Jar.
