14 Design and Function

15 Operation and Handling

This chapter provides you with important notices with regard to operating the device.
Observe the following notices to avoid dangers and damages.
► Do not leave the appliance unsupervised during operation.

15.1 Before first use

Fill the device with water up to the maximum water level. Boil the water and let the device
cool down. Discard the water. Repeat this 2x.

15.2 Use

Lift the pot from the base and open the lid. Fill water into the pot.
► Do not fill the pot over maximum level as water may spout out of device when boiling.
Make sure the lid is firmly closed before you place it on the base again.
► Do not fill the device below the minimum mark, otherwise the device will run dry and
the overheating protection will switch on.
