Tuning Steps
The tuning step is normally set to 50 kHz
during seek tuning on an FM band.
However, this tuning step changes to 100
kHz when the AF or TA mode is activated. In
some countrtes it may be desirable to set a
50 kHz tuning step for the AF mode. You can
do this by halding down the [1] button while
turning the ignition key from OFF to either
ACC or ON.
Note
¢ The PTY Alarm will not operate from the
cassette mode if the tuner was last set to
the MW/LW band.
¢« Only the VOLUME [+] /I-], [TA] , [AF] , and
[SOURCE] buttons are active during PTY
alarm.
Press the [TA] button.
¢ During manual tuning the step does not
change; it remains fixed at 50 kHz.
_
+ The tuning step will return to 100 kHz if the
battery supply is temporarily disconnected.
« In AF mode, only those stations broadcast
at 100 kHz steps are will be received
(CENELEC STANDARD).
