4. OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
ON / OFF
NOTE: Never use the battery and the AC/DC adapter at the same time on the
instrument. May cause irreversible damage to the device.
 To turn on Cor Max, press briefly the On-Off button and wait for initialization.
 To turn off, on the home menu, hold on the On-Off button. The message Turn off
device? will appear, press Yes button to confirm.
MEASUREMENT
Zeroing
1) Turn on the instrument and press briefly the On-Off button.
2) Select the measuring mode according to your preference:
 Apparent color: measurement without filtering the sample, with possible
interferences and variations resulting from solids in the sample (turbidity).
 Real color: Measurement with sample filtering, withoud interference from
solids in the sample (turbidity).
3) Separate a cuvette with 15mL of ultrapure water (0PCU);
4) Clean and dry the outside of the cuvette, using a cleaning wipe or a soft paper
towel;
5) Insert the zeroing cuvette (0PCU) in the Cor Max's measurement compartment,
aligning the arrow on the cuvette with the arrow located on the instrument's
measurement compartment;
6) Close the instrument lid to avoid reading interferences;
7) With the instrument on a table or in a horizontal position, press briefly the
button. Will appear on the display Analyzing...
8) Wait for the display to show Insert Sample;
Sample preparation for apparent color:
9) Collect the water sample to be analyzed;
10) Fill the measurement cuvette with 15mL of the sample for analysis, observing
the indicative line on the cuvette body, as shown in the figure below:
11) Close the cuvette with its lid, observing the correct fit to avoid leaks in the
instrument;
