7. MAINTENANCE
BATTERY REPLACEMENT
When rhe low battery
replace the battery as described below:
1) Underneath Cor Max, remove the cover fixing screw, using a Philips screwdriver;
2) Carefully unclip the instrument cover;
3) Remove the used battery from its compartment;
4) Install the new battery, observing the correct polarity shown in the drawing inside
the compartment.
5) Close the instrument lid, observing its correct fit;
6) Replace the set screw, tightening it firmly without forcing it.
NOTES:
 Always install new batteries, alkaline and quality, in order to avoid leaks or other
incidents that could damage or render the instrument unusable.
 In case of the instrument remains unused for long periods (more than 15 days),
remove the battery before storing it.
TIPS AND CARE
Instrument
 NEVER USE the battery and the AC/DC adapter at the SAME TIME, this could
cause serious and irreversible damage to Cor Max circuit;
 Avoid falls and/or mechanical shocks, as they may cause irreversible damage to
the instrument;
 Protect the Cor Max from splashing water in order to prevent moisture from
entering the circuit and damaging the instrument.
Cuvettes
 After each analysis, wash the cuvette with destilled water (a cubeta com água
destilada (or deionized), avoiding accumulation of residue or coloring in the
cuvette;
 Periodically, clean the measuring cuvettes using bleach (diluted at 10% in clean
water);
 Be careful when handling the cuvettes, scratches, scratches and stains can cause
significant deviations in the readings.
