Montage
Initially the best mounting configuration must be determined
magnetic contact can be sunk into the wood without mounting flange (bore ø8.5mm). To do this, the
magnetic contact must be fixed in the bore hole with silicone or glue.
Mounting in ferromagnetic materials is not permitted neither for the contact nor
the magnet.
The connecting rod for the locking latch must be measured along with the mounting distance between
the magnetic contact and the magnet, taking into account the distance diagram
Distance diagram (Fig.2): (1) approaching = contact closes, (2) pulling off = contact opens.
The bolt contact may only switch the mechanical lock and the intrusion alarm systems control panel
may only report the window as locked when there is 50% contact.
When unlocking, the contact must open without the window sash opening. The switch
function can be checked before installation using a high-ohm multimeter.
Cut a longitudinal slot into the locking latch cover (if any). The length of the slot must correspond to
the one that already exists. The width should be at least 7mm.
at the predetermined point The ring magnet is screwed down with the required spacers. If there is not
.
enough room behind the locking latch, the M3 fastening screw must be shortened accordingly.
An iron locking latch or locking latch cover will change the magnetic field, you must
therefore ensure that distance is sufficent (spacers).
The magnet cover must then be pressed onto the magnet. In doing so, bevel the inside edge of the cover
with a knife, if necessary, to make it easier to put the cover on the magnet.
The magnet can be broken if the fastening screws for the magnet are excessiverly tightenend
(brittle material).
