SOUND MORPHING
This unit lets you enjoy selecting a preferred sound field.
DISCO
: Boosts low and high frequencies to create a powerful,
dynamic sound field ideal for disco sound.
VIVID
: Boosts high and mid-range frequencies for a less
spacious, clearer sound field.
MOVIE: Boosts low and mid-range frequencies for a spacious
sound field ideal for reproducing movie soundtracks.
VOCAL: Boosts mid-range frequencies while attenuating low
and high frequencies for a sound
field that makes
tracks with vocals easier to hear.
BGM __ : Attenuates low and high frequencies, while providing
a slightly more spacious sound field for quiet listening
and background music.
HALL
: Provides a more spacious sound with the sound field of
a concert hall.
With the XR-A100, you can change the above mode in order
using the SOUND MORPHING button.

With the XR-A200, turn the S.M. JOG knob, and select a desired
sound field with the SOUND
MORPHING
function.

You can also select a sound field between
two sound field

DISCO
VIVID
You can select a sound field between DISCO and VIVID if
desired.
XR-A200:
Turn the $.M. JOG knob on the main unit to gradually change
from the current sound field to the next or previous sound field.
You can perform the same
operation
by remote control by
pressing the remote's SOUND MORPHING button.
XR-A100:
After selecting
a desired
sound
field, press
the SOUND
MORPHING button on the remote control, and you can gradually
change the current sound field until is sounds like the next or the
previous sound field.
(Example)
Select DISCO, then press the SOUND MORPHING
button on the
remote coniroi.
The DISCO sound field effect gradually diminishes as it gradu-
ally changes to the VIVID sound field.
The display:
The Graphic Sound Display provides the following indications.
@) During Sound Morphing, indications provide a graphic rep-
resentation of the equalization curve.
(2) During play, level meter indications are displayed. These
indications move from left to right, for a dynamic display
showing level changes in real time.
