f
reeZing of fresh produCts
Freeze only top quality products after cleaning and preparing them if necessary.
Allow the cooked dishes to cool to room temperature before placing them in the
freezer compartment.
All products to be frozen must be packed in special freezer bags, "special freezer"
aluminium trays or plastic boxes. These packages must be sealed airtight.
Each package must be proportionate to the family consumption size so that it can be used
all at once. Small packages allow for fast and uniform freezing.
Remember that a thawed product must be consumed as soon as possible and must never
be refrozen unless it has been cooked in the meantime.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Never put bottles or cans in the freezer. They can shatter when their
contents freeze and fizzy drinks may even explode! Do not store lemonade, fruit juice, beer,
sparkling wine, etc. in the freezer.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Do not put ice cream or ice cubes in your mouth immediately after taking
them out of the freezer compartment. Very cold ice can freeze to your lips or tongue and
cause injury.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Never touch frozen food with wet hands. The ice could make them stick
to the food.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Never use electrical appliances inside the refrigerator and/or the freezer
(e.g. electric ice-cream makers, mixers, etc.).
IMPORTANT NOTE: The freezer part of the appliance may not operate properly (risk of
defrosting the contents or excessive temperature in the frozen food compartment) when the
appliance is set for an extended period at a lower ambient temperature than the one for which
it is designed.
