Depress
this switch
to turn power
on and depress once
more
to
put the unit in the stand-by mode.
Note:
In the STAND-BY
position the AC mains power will stil! be -
supplied to the graphic equalizer. Therefore when
not in use
unplug the mains lead from the socket.
2) Equalization controls
When
the equalizer
switch Gis
in the ON
(<=)
position, the
equalization
controls
raise
and
lower
the
response
of the
cor-
responding frequency band by up to +10 cB.
@) Level control
Use this contro!
to lower the overall output level when the signal
level is so high that sound is distorted.
(4) Tape monitor switch (TAPE MONITOR)
Set this switch
to OFF
(£1)
to
listen
to a turntable
or tuner.
Depress to ON
(=)
to listen to a tape deck.
If a separate noise reduction system is used, it should be connected
between
the graphic equalizer and the tape deck. When
recording
through the noise reduction unit, set the equalizer recording switch
() to OFF
(C1) to turn off the equalization circuitry so that the
noise reduction system can take effect.
Operate the amplifier with its tape monitor switch set to '''TAPE".

(5) Equalizer switch (EQUALIZER)
Depress this switch to ON
(<) to activate the graphic equalizer
circuitry. In the OFF
(L)
position, the input signal goes direct-
ly to the output terminals without
passing through the equalizer
circuit and the equalization controls have no effect on the sound.
©) Equalizer recording switch (EQUALIZER REC)
Depress this switch to ON
{+=) to record
a signal through the
equalizer circuitry.
Set to OFF
(1)
to make
a recording with-
out the equalizer circuitry or through a noise reduction system.
@) Equalizer recording indicator
Power indicator
Note:
if the tape monitor switch ts on, it will not be possible to record the
equalized source signal even though the equalizer recording indicator
remains lit. Always turn the tape monitor switch off before recording
the equalized signal.
Note:
@
Confirm
that the amplifier
power
switch
is off before
making any connections.
e
Insert all plugs firmly. Loose connections can result in
noise and other problems.
