Important fitting information
Please note: The vehicle must be completely clean before the compo-
nents are adhered.
In order to correctly adhere the foil to the rear bumper, the ambient temperature, the vehicle
temperature and the temperature of the component (foil) to be adhered must be between
18 and 30 °C. Protect the components from direct sunlight.
Caution: When adhering this component, ensure that the work area is
adequately ventilated – the cleaning agents contain dangerous fumes.
Caution! The illustrations in the instructions only serve as general
information for assembly. The instructions show the mounting proce-
dure for SCALA (NW1). When installing the strips in KAMIQ (NW4),
OCTAVIA (NX), FABIA (PJ3), KAROQ (NU), ENYAQ (5AZ) use a similar
procedure. Important differences in the procedures are shown separa-
tely in the figures.

› Before adhering the foil, thoroughly wash the surface of the rear bumper with a solution of
mild soapy water, and rinse it with clean water. Then clean and degrease this with a suitable
cleaning agent; we recommend Terostat 8550. Leave to dry for 10 minutes.

› On the protective sheet, mark the centre of the foil using a suitable pencil – this will act as a
guide when you come to position it on the bumper.
Please note: Never fold the foil.
