CAUSE
Ensure unit is plugged in.
Verify GFIC outlet has power.
Check and reset Ground Fault Interrupter if necessary.
If igniter is not working, check 5 amp fuse located at the back
of the control. Replace if necessary.
Ensure control knob is in OFF position.
Turn control knob to SMOKE.
LCD screen will light up.
Remove warming rack, cooking grids, grease tray and diffuser.
Turn unit on and visually inspect the igniter. Start unit using
lighting instruction. If not working, call Customer Service.
Remove cooking grids, grease tray and diffuser. Turn unit on
and visually inspect the auger is moving. If not, remove
Controller and inspect wiring connections. Contact Customer
Service for assistance.
Remove Control Board. Inspect the wires and connections. If
no issue found, contact Customer Service.
Check the fire pot for ash build-up or obstruction.
Verify the blower fan motor is functioning, the air intake is
not blocked, and that the auger tube does not have any
blockage.
Perform a quick test. Remove cooking grids, grease tray and
diffuser. Turn Control Knob to "HIGH" and wait for 15
minutes. Check that the flame produced is bright and vibrant.
Verify the hopper is full of wood pellets made for barbecue.
Feel the pellets to be certain they are dry. If wet, remove all
pellets and refill with dry wood pellets made for barbecue.
Clean the temperature sensor and verify it is not blocked or
covered.
Ensure smoke preset setting is correct in SMOKE mode.
